PROCEDURES & BYLAW
While we individual unions at each high school are defined by their Charter Contract, we understand the importance of being able to quickly access answers to a long list of questions regarding union policy. The Student Advocacy Union's Procedure manual provides a comprehensive list of all SAU Procedures regarding proposals, vote requirements, meeting structure, department and committees, as well as the internal auditing procedures we conduct. Stipulations of this document must follow all sections and amendments designated in the charter contract.
As a part of being a union under the Student Advocacy Union Inc, SAU clubs are chartered under a contract designating the organizational basis of founding an SAU at any high school. This document serves as a guideline, and is not considered a binding document with the exception of the name, student membership requirement, cabinet/officers, and non discriminatory policy. This document is signed and agreed to by the President of the charter, a representative of the regional district, and a representative of the Union's nonprofit parent organization (SAU Inc).
