The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing body of Student Advocacy Union Incorporated. The board oversees and governs all Corporate activity related to the non-profit, including directly approving grants, funds, scholarships in addition to releasing funding to Student Unions in our jurisdictions. While the board doesn't directly deal with every matter that goes through our non-profit, they have the final say over all matters in the organization. Potential board members apply and are elected by the alumni of SAU to serve a one year term from July 1st to June 30th and work closely with the union presidents of each SAU charter.

Brandon Macias - CEO & Founder

As the founder of SAU, Brandon handles the day to day functioning of our non-profit and coordinating with our C.O.O. to support our student organizations. He previously served as president of Nogales High School SAU for 2 terms, Nogales School Site Council chairman for 2 years, and is a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute program alumni.

Clarissa Tabuloc - Vice President & Chief Officer of Operations

Clarissa primarily deals with all matters directly relating to student services, such as club events, records, student relations and more. She's extremely experienced with student organizations having served on several cabinets during her high school tenure and having received recognition as a American Pacific Islander Mobilize Youth Leadership Alumni.

Benjamin Min - Chief Financial Officer

Benjamin was officially onboarded at the beginning of Fiscal 25' and serves as our Chief Financial officer. He is responsible for directing the Corporate Finance Department and manages all financial matters at our non-profit.

Yvonne Cortez - Secretary & Director of Registry

Yvonne is responsible for the organization and distribution of all records relating to our non-profit. Her office processes and distributes minutes, agendas, corporate records, official correspondence and is responsible for certifying documents on behalf of the board.
